We at Bayer are convinced that close cooperation with and continuous education of healthcare professionals is key to achieving better outcomes for the patients we strive to help. We are committed to transparency regarding how healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organisations (HCOs) are compensated by us for the time and expertise they provide.
In accordance with the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, Bayer Australia discloses transfer of value, third party meeting sponsorship and health consumer organisation (not-for-profit organisations that represent the interests and views of consumers of healthcare) support connected to the development and commercialisation of prescription-only human pharmaceuticals to healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations.
The disclosed data includes three reporting mechanisms to report payments and other activities:
| 1. | Payments and Transfers of Value made to healthcare professionals - information about healthcare professionals who receive payments or educational support through airfares, accommodation or registration fees. |
| 2. | Third Party Meeting Sponsorship - supporting independently organised educational activities designed to enhance medical knowledge and the quality use of medicines. |
| 3. | Health Consumer Organisation Support - financial and in-kind relationships with health consumer organisations with the objective of enhancing the quality use of medicines and supporting better health outcomes for the Australian community. |
Bayer Australia HCP Payments and Transfer of Value Reports are held in a database, administered by Medicines Australia. This database is designed to be searchable as well as downloaded as a CSV file.
