Bayer is proud to present the findings of our 2023-2024 Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) survey, which highlights our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The survey reveals an average total remuneration gender pay gap of 4.4% and a median pay gap of 3.1%. These figures reflect our dedication to transparency and our efforts to address pay equity within our organisation.
As a life sciences company with a 150-year history, Bayer has been at the forefront of innovation in health and agriculture, and we continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of our operations, including fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. With a strong local presence in Australia since 1897, Bayer employs over 600 people across the country. We recognise that achieving pay equity is an ongoing journey that requires continuous effort and vigilance. Our current pay gap performance is influenced by workforce participation and distribution across various roles, with the largest gaps observed in general management, clerical and administration, and technician or trade-based roles.
Bayer remains committed to closing the gender pay gap and ensuring that all employees, regardless of gender, are valued and compensated equitably. We are dedicated to setting a standard for others to follow and creating a future where equal pay is the norm.
